Mammals

What furry creatures do you think you can find?

You maybe surprised to find out that otters have been seen down by monkbridge, you have to be up early to catch them!

Have you smelt that particularly strong musky odour when passing certain spots down the trail, that will be foxes scenting there areas.  Another animal that you will need to be up early to catch.

Who can resist these cheeky characters!

For those of you that are not much of an early bird, take some nuts down to the picnic area, with a bit of temptation the squirrels in that area may come down to fill their bellies or just to make sure they have nuts in their larders!

Keep on the lookout for water voles (do not confuse them with the water rat!) there have not been any seen on this part of the river for some time, maybe due to the mink that have appeared recently….
